When do you need Excel → Word?

• Report deliverables: data lives in Excel but the final report must be a Word doc with company header, TOC, comments.
• Contracts and memos with tables: drop an Excel list into a Word template for printing.
• Printable price lists: turn an Excel catalogue into a clean Word page for print.
• Client deliverables: PDF generated from Word usually looks better than from Excel when shared externally.

Features

• Multi-sheet → multi-table: an .xlsx with 3 sheets produces a .docx with 3 tables separated by page breaks.
• Sheet name as heading: each sheet name becomes a Heading 1 above its table (toggleable). Word's built-in TOC will pick them up automatically.
• Bold header on dark red: the first row of every table is bold, white-on-darkred, centered.
• Auto page orientation: landscape if >5 columns, portrait otherwise. Overridable via dropdown.
• Proportional column widths: wider content columns get more dxa, narrow ID columns stay tight.
• Cell borders + padding: clean, print/PDF-ready out of the box.
• Multi-line cell support: Alt+Enter line breaks in Excel are preserved.

Supported formats

• ✅ .xlsx (Excel 2007+) — the modern standard.
• ❌ .xls (Excel 97–2003 legacy binary): can't be read in the browser. Save As .xlsx first.
• ❌ Google Sheets: File → Download → Microsoft Excel (.xlsx), then upload.
• ✅ CSV: open in Excel/LibreOffice and save as .xlsx first.

Privacy

Runs 100% in your browser. The file is never uploaded. Safe for payroll, customer lists, internal quotes.

Limitations

• Excel formulas: only the computed value is captured, not the formula itself.
• In-cell formatting (italic, underline, color) is not preserved — text + bold header only.
• Charts, pivot tables, and embedded images are not converted.
• Merged cells in Excel become independent cells with the value in the first one — not a true Word merge.
